About AAMC ID And Applying To Open Spots

Dear adonis,
If I'm applying to a program outside the match, do I need to have an AAMC ID?
I didn't participate in the match of 2010, is there is a possibility to apply to any opening ,if there is any, without participating in the match?
Thanks a lot

U need an AAMC ID if u r applying to the programs thro' ERAS.
If u r applying to programs which donot accept applications thro' ERAS then u will need to apply to them by sending paper applications.
All what I mentioned above is for the regular application cycle and not for applying to open spots.
Ye, can apply to open spots even if u did not participate in the 2010 Match.U can do so by registering with these websites:
www.openspots.com
www.residentswap.org
Findaresident
Good Luck!
