About Military Residency Programs

Hi, I read the thread about that lady which she graduated14 years ago,actually iam in same boat like her 10years graduation i have been tried since 3yrs no luck i am even wondring if they review the application coz this time i read every programs what thier requirements, i ask friend who is 10yrs graduation and several attempts in usmle exames ,and get accepted in that program,but i got rejection.so i am only wondering is there any problem in my application or just abad luck, I dont know. I even heard that they are trying to avoid accepting IMG and they prefer to leave the seat vacant instead of giving to IMG, I dont know if that true.
any way i need to know about army when i call few prorams they told me i need to be in active duty,what that mean?
Please advice.

yeah even i have heard that a few programs are not accepting fmgs this year in fact one of the programs has clearly stated it as the reason for rejecting.

If a program is not accepting applications from IMGs then u must not apply to that.It is better to apply to a different program instead.
The policies of the individual programs may change anytime but I don't think that may apply to all the programs.

most of the military programs will not consider applications of IMGs.. i think adonis is roght you should check beforehand if the program has IMGs.

Ye, because Miltary programs require applicants to be US Citizens which a great majority of IMGs r not.

To be in active duty may mean that one is currently serving in the Army.

does it mean actively serving the army in the United States or is it applicable to anybody who is serving their home country as well??

It is for those serving in the US Military only.
