To get inot any residency,be it Obs&Gyne residency one needs to take the USMLE Steps-1,2CK,2CS.U can apply for the USMLE Steps thro' the IWA section of the website called'www.ecfmg.org'.U will need to complete both the online and the paper application parts and pay the required fees before u can schedule yur exams.
U need to score high on the USMLE Steps and pass them all on the first attempt only.U can also do some observerships in yur specialty choice in US hospitals in order to get US LORs.U can get into an Obs and Gyne residency if u are able to do all this.
Also, remember that time since graduation is also taken into account by US hospitals when candidates apply to them.The more the time has elalsed since graduation, more difficult it gets to get into a residency program.Normally,if one is within 5 yrs of graduation then it is relatively easy to secure a spot.
