Osteopathic physicians (D.O.'s) need to complete an internship before residency which is called an osteopathic internship.
It does not refer to the Internship which we do after completing our medical school years.U need to just leave it blank there on the CAF.
However, u can fill in the details about yur rotatory internship in Medical Education or Experience part of the CAF.
Good Luck!

haward - 07-23-10 10:02 ooops, Thanks Adonis, I read in another forum about how we fill our internship and one guy sent ERAS and asked about this , here what he posted:
"Dear Doctor,
Thank you for contacting ERAS Support Services at ECFMG.
If your internship was a clinical or teaching experience, it would count as work experience. If it reflected a U.S residency (within a hospital under contract) then it would be counted as a residency. Please detail your experience in your Personal Statement or Miscellaneous Tab.
I am still confused because my internship is paid but the durations like in months not year format in ERAS , so what you think . thanks "
