Hi i am a new user of doctok community,I have a question for you. Is the research work in clinical or basic medical sciences in countries like pakistan of any value in residency application or it is that only of the US which gets counted?

If one has done an excellent research work in any part of the world which resulted in some publications in some peer-reviewed magazines/journals then it will definitely count.
Moreover, any research work done in the US itself will definitely be given much more importance.
