HELLO and HELP , im a US citizen IMG, now in the states, diploma will be issued in september 2011, studying hard to do step2ck in beginning of september, havent done any other steps, ..
my Q 1. if i complete my exam should i try to apply for residency this year (even though i'd be applying late with only step2ck)?
Q 2. Can i apply just to get an aamc number to put on LORs, or is it better to wait until i want to apply for the match?

U can apply to residency programs even if u have only a single Step score available.However,presently the level of competition is high as there r many applicants who r ECFMG certified n have high scores,so it is not possible to get enough interview calls only on the basis of a single Step score.
U can get the ERAS Token from the ERAS Support Services icon in yur OASIS account.After u get the ERAS Token,u will have to go to the MyERAS website n get yur AAMC ID.
