It depends on the type of specialty u want to match into.IM will be difficult to get into IM,but FM n Psych r still possible for u to get into.
Generally, most IM programs have a cut-off score criterion of at least 85 on each step.
Have u registered for Step-2CS?If u have then pass it only on the first attempt.
Best Wishes!

enrollaca - 04-28-11 14:35 Dear chess77,
Please do not get discouraged, or give up hope because of your Step 2 results. I know of two IMGâs who secured Residency positions with USMLE scores in the mid 70âs to low 80âs during the 2011 Match; their success was due to their âoverallâ application. Residency programs do not solely base their criteria on USMLEâs scores alone and there are many other factors which may help increase your competitiveness for securing a Residency position. One way to greatly increase your overall application is by doing âU.S. Hands-On Clinicalsâ. Are you currently doing any type of hands-on clinicals at this time?
