ppl temme all the time tht they put up tougher cases in piladelphia n tht i shud opt fr chicago as my test centre...i jus wana knw whether all tht they say is true? n shud i change my test centre frm philadelphia to some other
also can ny1 pls temme whether joining kaplan's course wil be beneficial or doin observership/externship etc is bettr?? or jus studyin fr the exam is all tht i need to do leavin alone all the unnecessary headaches tht im gettin considerin undrtakin kaplan's course n rotations n stuff...pls guide

These r all rumors.There is no truth in them.Philadelphia is really good.
Yes, bserverships will help u to understand the US healthcare system and doctor-patient communication.
But, the best strategy to prepare for Step-2CS is to practice with live practice partners and practce all the case scenarios in the First Aid and USMLE World Step-2CS course.
U need to apply to the various hospitals which offer observerships/externships in the US.Here is a list of them:

I have read some good reviews about Kaplan Step-2CS Course.U can go for it if money is not a constraint.But, remember, it is finally yur hard practice with some partner which will help u get thro' this test.
