hi i wanted to ask is it necesary to have step 2 cs result before applying for residency or one can apply for residency wth step 1 or step 2 ck average scores and when step 2 cs result comes one can send it

U can even apply without a Step-2CS result.

Off course, people who have all the three USMLE Step scores available will get more number of interview calls.Nowadays,more people apply as ECFMG certified applicants,so they r bound to get more number of calls than those who r not.
