the first thing that you should think about is when do you plan to take your exam, calculate the number of days you have. then chart down the resources that you are planning to use for your study. it should include atleast 1 question bank preferably usmle world and if you can manage kaplans.. find out what things you already know.. give them a quick passing reference. concentrate on your weaker subjects. and most important of all dont panic. you ll perform your best when you are clear headed. hope this helps.

i would say if you have your exam in feb thats a lot of time and if you can devote even 7-8 hours on a regular basis you should do well. i would congratulate you that you are having an average knowledge on all subjects.. its great for a beginner.. focus on the high yields.. concentrate a lot a lot and a lot on patho as it is one of the major subjects tested on the day of exam and do it everyday.. know the high yields.. they ll save you.. before beginning your prep take a test.. there are so many free resources available for step one.. you ll know the pattern the questions are designed.. they also will give you an assessment of your weaker areas.. you need to lay more stress on.. so off your total prep time allot 1/3 rd time to pathology, and the rest to remaining subjects equally.. i have a time table prepared by a friend but since its in a tabular form i cannot put it here.. if you want it leave your email.. i ll send it.. so that you have a rough idea how to make your own.. if you wan tto know the high yield RESOURCES the kind moderator, adonis, has listed it in many of the posts.. hope this helps.. godspeed with your prep!

Here is the high yield material for USMLE Step-1:
1.Kaplan Lecture Notes for Step-1
2.Goljan Audio for Step-1
3.USMLE World Online Q Bank
4.Kaplan Online Q Bank
5.Kaplan Q Book
6.WebPath for Histopathology Slides
7.First Aid for Step-1
8.WikitestPrep(Free Online Q Bank for Practice)
9.USMLE World Self Assessment tests (Before Exams)

Prepare at least for 5-6 months fulltime and try to score very high on it.
U can get some of the above books from leading book stores.U will have to get the photocopies of the Kaplan Lecture Notes as original material is too expensive.See if someone on the forum is willing to sell his/her material to u.U will have to subscribe online for the above mentioned Q-Banks .The websites r www.usmleworld.com and www.kaplanmedical.com .

As rightly said by Bingo that u need to concentrate more on Patho because it constitutes the bulk of the exam. But, this in no way means that u can ignore the other subjects.
So, yur priority shud be Patho, followed by Pharma, then Physio and Behavioural ,then others.Concentrate only on the clinically relevant material and do as many standard questions as possible and write down and revise their explanations.
Good Luck!
