U shud put Observership as a Volunteer Experience and Research as a Research Experience.
Write wat u did in yur Observership or give the description about the Research u did.

It will come under the Experiences section of the CAF as a Research Experience.

how to make prelim med list for neurology? should i apply only to those programs which has advance neurology spot?

U can apply to prelim medicine spots at any program and it is not essential that the said program must have an advanced program in Neuro.
The only thing which is essential is that u must match into both prelim and neuro programs if u wanna pursue a residency in Neuro.
