Again,No Luck This Year!

This year again no luck . I had only one IV and for the great luck it was at a premach program,but they didn't choose me. I don't know what i can can do now ? Apply again , but every year I think it becomes more worse than previous years and i am now 10 years since I graduated from the medical school.Anyway Guys , when i write here I feel little comfortable and take my anger out. I think I have to start looking for something else. But like what , I don't know.

Wud u mind sharing yur credentials ,visa status,and the specialty u want to go in?

smyomer - 01-29-10 17:22 step1 81, step2 CK 87, CS pass in second attempts, pass step 3 in 79.One year U.S exp,and green card holder.I applied for FM, IM ,Psych and Pedia. graduated in 2000 from medical school.
No luck this year and last year also.

In my opinion, u have a good chance of getting into FM.Did u apply to enough community FM programs?I think u shud concentrate on Scramble as there r usually many unfilled positions in FM.

you should concentrate on one specialty (not 4 specialty)
work either in FM or psych exclusively.
get good LOR and try to make good contacts.
I have seen people with this credential matching.

Next semester I will finish it. They have a bridge to ARNP program also. You may continue look for residency until you are in the program and if you find some think just do whatever you want to do.

Re: Again,No Luck This Year! 4arovnik - 02-18-10 11:48 Prereqs are TOEFL,Statistics, Nutrition, and Human growth and development. To start the program, you need to have TOEFL and one of the others. The rest of them you may finish while u r in school.

U must send the following documents thro' email or fax:
USMLE Scores
ECFMG Certificate
Deans Letter
Medical School Transcript
USMLE Transcript
LORs (if not waived)
Personal Statement
CV
Photograph
If a program accepts applications thro' ERAS then do mean that.U shud only send application to them only thro' ERAS.
