An ECFMG certificate looks like this

When I was preparing for the USMLEs, I used to wonder how a ECFMG certificate would look like. Now that I have got it, I would like to share it with you guys who are not yet certified.
There are few things to note in the certificate:
* There is no validity period mentioned in it. That means it is valid for life.
* The dates mentioned beside the USMLE exam are the dates on which you took the exam and not the dates on which you received the result. Whenever a USMLE date is asked in any application, you need to mention the date on which you took the exam and not the date your result was reported.
* Your ECFMG certificate number is the same as your USMLE ID or ECFMG ID
I have attached the image of my ECFMG certificate in my blog at www.usmlerockers.net.
The ECFMG certificate as a hard copy looks beautiful and one would feel proud when he/she receives it. Also, people say we can call ourselves MD once we get it.

to do an externship do u need to pass both part 1 & 2 of usmle?
