A- Step 1(76)-1st time
B-Step 2ck (83)-1st time
C-step 2 cs-PASS-1 st time
Grad date July -2007
USCE- 2 years
I have my Green Card
Had to transfer 3 times between Medical schools-one of those time was because of St. chris(Bad School)
I love Family Medicine so i have ONLY applyed to FM
Basically i had things going for me and things going against me. So i did what i had to ,,,,,,,,,,, My personal statment was composed by my self and family and it was polished by an english college grad( my Friend) ,,,, i told my personal story, NOTHING generic like it was my calling in life,,,,,,,, Looks matter so when i took my photograph i dressed like how i do when i attend a rotation and hair and make-up was clean simple but up with the style,,,,,,,,, When i had my interviews i was my self ,,,,,Why?? Because i am too lazy to act,,, so i told my self i will be ME and i have 16 interviews to attend,,,,,,,,,, i have interviewed from MAYO , MN clinic all the way down to small town macon, GA,,,,,,,, so i have experianced Big University hospital to small community hospitals,,,,,,,,,, it was hard many bad things happend to me before GRADuating from MEd school,,,,,,,but i sucked it up,,,,,, SO i hope this will help someone who was in my shoes last year,,,,,,, I AM NOT PERFECT so look at PRO's and Con's of my INFO,,,,,,,

Re: applyed to 35 programs and had 16 in reality13 - 02-24-08 13:00 My school places students in 3rd and 4th year medical school with Hospitals in the USA,,,,,,,,,,,, You see i went to a carriebean medical school and almost all brings students back to the USA once we have completed the 1st and 2nd year of med school and have passed step 1,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i am sorry i wish i could have helped more,,,,,,However cook county in Chicago IL acceptes 4th year IMG med student for electives i have did that last year for GYn elecitve my self it was not easy but i have called to the point of aggrevations,,lol

To tell you the truth, I have a lot of old classmates from med scholl who got into residency programs years ago, and none of them helped me a bit...The most help I've received have been from complete strangers who have seen my situation, understood me, and helped me asking nothing in exchange. I guess this blog and the participation in it, it's a kind of helping the stranger, because helping no matter who is the main reason we are in this society

Re: applyed to 35 programs and had 16 in reality13 - 03-21-08 15:44 thank you everyone,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i got my second choice Grant Medical Center, columbus, OH,,,,,,,,,,,i am happpy ,,,,,,,,,,,obviously were are humans so i did want my first choice ,but i going to where my Family lives,,,,,,,so that is more important,,,,,,,,,,,,,I hope everyone can enjoy the next two month,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i am so mentaly exasted from this process Match week should be taught in Med school ,,,,,,because this was excting and crazy at the same time,,,,,,,,,,,,I am so happy it's over,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I wanted to say that ppl who have done this more then once You are better then I ,, because i could have never done this for more then once,,,,,,,,,,, So please know that you are very strong Dr's who teach ppl like me that working hard is worth the time,,,,,,,,,,,, So to every one out thier If you did not get this year MAtch ,,,,,,,,,,please dont stop,,,,,,,,,,,,, GL
