InSitu - 01-09-08 14:39 47 yr old woman with bilateral painless breast masses. Family history was positive for breast cancer. Biopsy showed indian filing of cancer cells in the stroma.
What breast lesion does she have?
A. invasive ductal carcinoma
B. medullary carcinoma
C. lobular carcinoma
D. Mucinous carcinoma
E. Pagets disease of the nipple

InSitu - 01-09-08 14:51 A 38 year old pre-menopausal female developed breast cancer and was given a chemotherapy agent which caused myelosuppression, hair loss, and decreased cardiac ejection fraction. What is the cellular mechanism of action of this drug?

Comming to second Q
She is on anthracycline. All most all anthracyclins are known to cause cardiotoxcity--parti dilated cardiomayopathy. All other features described are the side effects of DOXORUBICIN(ADRIAMYCIN).
Other modalities of Rx for this lady is to add harmonal theraphy if she is ER/PR positive, particularly tamoxifen. More important than adding tamoxifen is to abalate her ovaries surgically.
