oldman - 05-04-10 10:20 on UW I saw such type of Q, and they say that according to new guidelines screening is recommended after 21 regardless of sexual activity.

The ACS recommends that cervical cancer screening should begin approximately three years after the onset of vaginal intercourse and/or no later than twenty-one years of age..

he current guidelines, recommend that women get a Pap test three years after they begin having sexual intercourse, but no later than age 21. And that women younger than 30 have an annual exam. For women 30 or older, the recommendation was every two to three years, if they'd had three consecutive negative Pap tests.

cervical cancer screening is recommended at the age of 21 or within 3 years after starting of sexual activity whichever is earlier...and to be continued based on the results

recommendations state that cervical cancer screening in sexually active persons should begin 3 years after first sexual encounter. for none sexually active patients, screening is done from 18-21 years of age.
