chance to get Residency

My graduation year is 1988.Last year i have passed my USMLE step ,Step2CK and step2CS with 75/79/pass respectively .Is there any hope to get the residency.No USCE. Curently working as research Associate in NSLIJ NY.

Your question "Is there hope?" and simply the answer is YES..
Keep hard working on your research, do some observership once you're done with that, also take Step 3.

You have definitly a great chance of being mached in the same hospital. keep up the hard work there and show a lot of intrest of cours.

Should you pass step 3 in order to get residency?

I heard that once you pass Step 1 and 2 CS ,CK, you may apply for residency.

I will appreciate if someone will give some more info.

No you don't need that..
But passing Step 3 is a "Plus" on your application.

That is correct. You do not have to pass Step 3 to apply fpr residency. Of course it makes you more competitive if you have it done, but it is not a requisite to apply. Go to ECFMG web site for more info.

And check out for the programs you can apply and how to apply, try to get USCE. And god luck, and of course it deends about the specialty
