What is dactylitis nd how relevant it is for USMLE?
USMLE usually will discribe it to you and for that reason I think you should know what it is and which diseases are associated with it.
I can think of at least 2 conditions associated with it.

TheOne - 12-30-07 19:15 Dactylytis is a sausage-shaped swelling of the fingers and toes, and can be painful. It can occur in:
1) Seronegative arthropathies, such as psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
2) Sickle-cell disease as result of a vasoocclusive crisis with bone infarcts.
3) Infectious conditions including tuberculosis and leprosy.
