Dear adonis
I'm very thankful for ur input, and I'm very sorry for ur grandmother, I hope she rest in peace.
-I'm checking programs at FREIDA to look for ones without year of graduation spicifications, is there any other way to check that, I mean is there a list that give us such programs without the need to check every single program's website and look in the fine print?
-What about match a resident website, they promise you help in matching, are they legit, are they helpful?
-What is transitional year, is it also difficult to get?
Thanks again and best of luck to you

The best way wud be to call the programs or to check their websites for their residency criteria. But, all that wud be a very laborius task.
Ye, there r many websites which claim to provide the most uptodate information about residency criteria and Matcharesident is one of them.I have read some good reviews about it on the web,but u also need to check yurself.
A transitional year is a residency year in which one gets experieince in multiple specialties like IM,Gen. Surg,Obs & Gynae, etc.Afterwards, u can apply to various specialties like Neurology, etc.
It is mostly the American Graduates who go for transitional years because most of the transitional year programs do not sponsor a visa.It is also due to the fact that there r relatively lesser number of TY programs. However, u can try yur luck in those TY programs which sponsor visas.
Good Luck!
