I am a FMG with visa problem of entry to US
I have a question;
1-I have scheduled for step 2 cs in june 2008 and my eligibility period is untill 17 dec 2008.
if I was not able to get visa of us till december 2008 then can I be able to extend my scheduling permit for one more year and try to get visa of us from other ways?

I think you can, email the ECFMG about the issue in case you couldn't make it.

I'm sorry to hear that you dropped your plans to take Step 1, after all these times and advice, I though you will do it.
But that's ok, be detreminant next time and call the ECFMG now for a refund. They will, hopfully, accept to do so.
Good luck.

Soory to hear that, but one question: can you take the CS without the Step 1? (in my times you couldn't do so). Try to seek a refund now, if not you'll have to pay USD400 before may 14th to extend your eligibility for another year...of course the refund won't be total.

What I guess they are trying to do is you to show the step 1 result, without it...I don't know if you can take the CS...If I'm wrong, please somebody correct me

it is confirmed dat if visa is rejected for cs ,then ecfmg refunds the fee.

Simply, in areas and countries like India, because of the large number of applicants, the consular would like to see some proves of passing at least one of the steps before granting the visa.
Going there without any score have a higher rejection rate.

Everything is possible, but as I said "Your chances of getting a visa without scores is low".

"ECFMG will refund if your visa is rejected" that's what you confirmed.. So if you got rejection then make sure to get your money as soon as possible and don't wait till the last moment.
