Sudden onset of “the worst headache of my life” -->SAH[/b].
Neck stiffness with severe headache --> [b]Bacterial meningitis[/b].
Sudden ↓ level of consciousness --> [b]Intracranial bleed, intracranial mass[/b].
Progressively worsening headache --> [b]Intracranial mass[/b].
Daily headaches that awaken the patient from sleep or are severe on arising in the morning --> [b]Intracranial mass with ↑ ICP[/b]. (Mig common cause of morning headache.)
Onset of headaches after age 30 --> [b]Intracranial mass[/b].
Progressive visual, motor, or balance disturbance --> [b]Intracranial mass, vascular lesion[/b].
Onset of headache after age 50 --> [b]Temporal arteritis, intracranial mass.
