That's a very good closer, don't worry.

Re: help needed
anzar04 - 01-06-08 20:05 many people said we should say that we think it is this or that but many people including mark shwartz(c3ny) said just summarize and there are more than 20 D/ds per case so u can never be sure in 15 minutes.
many people said that we should say it can be infection, etc etc and usmle web site says u should talk about initial diagnostic impression and workup plan. i said about work up plan and summarized hxbut most casesI said i need to run some tests to figure out what is going on &once the test results will come i will sit with you again go over this once again and discuss the best treatment options available
man I am worried what you guys think
bye

TheOne - 01-06-08 20:09 If you are only worried about this part, then don't. We all did bunch of mistakes on our tests and managed to pass it on the first run.
Saying that, I have no idea how well you did on your communication and interpersonal skills, beside your clinical approach. Assuming you did well in all that, you are safe. Again, Don't worry.

InSitu - 01-06-08 20:10 WHen I took my exam I left the room only after discussing my plans. I told them I will go run some tests and will be back with you soon to discuss the results. I also told them what I think they have (My differentials). I passed and prepared for it for less then one week.

radhamesramos - 01-09-08 10:51 Really discussing D/ds is not as important as the good closer, interpersonal skills, and PE, but gives points, and losing few points in all cases, is not very good.
Though, you managed pretty well, and probably you'll lose few points that if you did the rest well, won't affect your scores (remember this is a pass/ Fail exam). So, if you did the rest well, don't worry you did just fine
