I have got a serious doubt...does an IMG need to pass step 3 to apply for match.I was under the impression that one can appear for it later on...even after joining the Program.Please respond promptly.

Re: Help! sackatdoc - 08-13-08 17:35 so a prompt one is what you get, you know it correctly that for ECFMG certification or applying for residency it is not a requirement, that is you can get certified without it and join a program as well, but even with ECFMG certification, in the face of such a fierce competition one has to outshine other applicants by clearing step 3 which can help them make their application material more noticeable and attractive along with other neccesities like USCE, RESEARCH,lors, the glass is bottomlesss........
