The NRMP was created to assure "equal" opportunities to peolpe applying for a residency position any given year.

Tha algorithm, and how it work is well explained in their webpage: nrmp.org

Make sure you read all the rules before applying to, because the violation of Match rules is a federal offense.

Some programs do not use the NRMP Match, so inform yourself before applying
