Pt with NO H/O bleeding, but H/O increased hypercoagulability --->
Normal PT, Increased PTT --->
What is most likely diagnosis:
(a) Hemophilia
(b) VWD
(c) Lupus Anticoagulant
(d) Factor V leidein deficiency
(e) Protein C deficiency
SORRY FOR THIS SMALL HISTORY (Plz don't complaint) :)
But this q is based on very imp fact given by Conrad Fischer

InSitu - 04-30-09 12:32 Lupus anticoagulant is a misnomer. You think it causes bleeding because of the name but it does the opposite---a coagulation disorder. Look for history of a woman with multiple miscarriages. Know it as antiphospholipid antibody.

actually all Hypercoagulable stated give: Normal PT & PTT (Except for Lupus anticoagulant, which gives Normal PT & Increased PTT)
