Paraneoplastic Syndromes: Small cell carcinomas produce ACTH and ADH, which can lead to SIADHIt is thought to originate from neuroendocrine cells (APUD cells) Hence, they express a variety of neuroendocrine markers, and may lead to ectopic production of hormones like ADH and ACTH .
