C. Continue with PCR for definitive dx
D. wait for a certain period of time and go on with elisa and western b

The answer is D. It is a tricky question. I also wonder that PCR is not far from a reasonable next approach. So, if you don't see the choice D in your exam go for PCR without any doubt.
