Criteria for changing drug regimens include:
1- Failure to decrease viral RNA by 1 log10 by 8 weeks .
2-Failure to depress viral RNA to undetectable levels by 6 months .
3-Repeated detection of viral RNA after initially achieving undetectable levels.
4-Persistent decline in CD4 counts (on at least 2 measurements).
5- significant clinical deterioration.
When changing drug regimens, it is important to change all 3 drugs if possible, to impair the development of resistance.

Well I found that in family medicine practice by jason contains very important points. I always feels HIV is a big topic. Would you like to do questions from jason about HIV? if so then I will start posting one case with many questions on it and sure with the explanation. I will post the explanation without the 24 hours. Then we can discuss.
