what exactly you want to know about Lors,What do you mean by copies coz you have to send originals to ERAS,you can send any number but only 4 will be allotted to each programs, usually programs want minimum 3.

I read an email asking 2 get the writter write 2 similar"original' LORS---1 for ERAS& the other for the other programs later.

what email is this, asking to get two originals, I havent done that or even heard of that,what and why for other programs?, why these programs cant get thru the ERAS?
may be the programs not participating in ERAS, but then ERAS has provision of returning your originals, so for that you need 2 originals for other documents as well, but somehow I dont get this concept,unless you care to explain more
