I am planning to do my residency in the USA. How much do I need to budget for a month for:
1. Food
2. Rent
3. Electricity, water etc bills
4. Transportation
5. School fees for elementary and nursery school

Transportation question in between makes things complicated with gas prices:)

$1,500-2,000 maybe

I have two children, how much is it to pay for nursery school and primary school? Where can I get information for this? What is the cheapest but still good option?

Always depends on the city you are going to live in. New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, are very expensive, big cities (though I have a friend who came to Chicago with wife and two kids, and is doing just fine)

In some cities you can live with 1500, in others, 2500-3000. Depends where do you live and how you organize yourself

This is a vague Q and very difficult to answer since it depends entirely on where you live, especially when as a family.

As an individual, the stipend is good to support or... even for a couple, it is good. But I dunno if it is enuff for a 'family'!
