How Much Time Do I Have?

hi guys i have a question , i registered for step 2 cs and got a date in july , but as i m preparing for step2 ck and will be taking it by the end of april , i think i might not get visa on time for step 2 cs , does it matter if i give step2 cs after 17 july , i mean i can still participate in match and its not gonna hurt my chances in match if i get ecfmg certificate before match day in march , am i right ?

yes you can take it on 17 th july.but its ideal if u finish it by 5th of july so that you are on time for match since it follows first come first serve basis.still dont rush ur ck exams prep well.
i think you will make it on time.

Sorry, I was kind of very busy lately!
Yes, u can participate in Match even if u take yur Step-2CS by 31st of December,2010.This because yur Step-2CS passing results must be available before ROL submission deadline in February,2011.
But, if u r concerned about wether applying as an ECFMG certified candidate on September 1st will help in getting more interviews then I must say that yes it will.But, plz donot rush thro' any of these exams at all.Take them only wen u feel fully prepared.

Re: How Much Time Do I Have? zoah2005 - 03-31-10 08:45 thnx adonis , i feel pretty confident of my prep so far and i m getting better on my UW percentages and i think i should get over with step 2 ck this month , this way i might get ecfmg certified before match , thnx for ur help . , i want to know about 100 cases by conrad fischer , someone told me its a good thing to do , what do u think about it?

Conrad Fischer's 100 cases r not essentially recommended as a basic study material.But, anything good and extra can definitely help.
