U donot have to remember the steps of the metabolic cycles.U only need to concentrate on the steps which r involved in the disease processes.For example,take Lesch Nyhan Syndrome where u need to remember the enzyme HGPRT deficiency leads to this disorder.Then u need to remember the main and usual manifestations of such disorders - like self-mutilation in this case.U need to remember the main tests done.
Similary, in genetics u need to do the calculations and understand the various topics like modes of inheritance.U need to understand the techniques like PCR,ELISA,RFLP,etc.
In short, u only need to study the clinically relevant material.

bingousmle - 07-25-10 22:44 the kaplan biochemistry is good.. you can supplement it with roadmap series.. it is brief and is good for a quick revision of biochemistry high yields
