rehydration and forsed diuresis is the mainstay of therapy.
Biphosphonates and steroids can be used as additionaly therapy

conym5 - 01-12-10 17:08 yes ysemak.. this is a very tricky question i found , usually we forget the main diagnosis treatment , which is being asked. we jsut go with the routene treatment..

not only sarcoidosis , any granulomatoisis disorder with hypercalcemia will respond to steroids well..

Loop diuretics
A loop diuretic (eg, furosemide) may be used with hydration to increase calcium excretion. This may also prevent volume overload during therapy.
In contrast to loop diuretics, avoid thiazide diuretics because they increase the reabsorption of calcium.
Bisphosphates - These agents will inhibit osteoclast activity for up to a month

patient is suffering from sarcoidosis associated hypercalcemia.......so the tretment would be steroids...the best and first treatment for sarcoidosis.

cant give steriods cause of the fever, aledronate cause no h/o osteoporosis, so my guess is b.
