TheOne - 01-11-08 13:52 I believe it helps, but just a little bit.
ACLS, PALS, ATLS, etc. these are the ones that helps more.

radhamesramos - 01-14-08 10:11 ACLS, you can take it everywhere. ATLS is in the U.S only, and outside of the U.S for surgical residents. They expire though.

You should get your CME credits even if you're an IMG, try medscape.

Re: if i take course in alternative medi
TheOne - 02-18-08 20:41 It's a requirement. Each State has it's own CME credit requirement; Check it out:

I dunno, but one program called a friend of mine and asked him to have at least 110 hours of CME before considering him for an interview, weired, huh?

Re: if i take course in alternative medi
radhamesramos - 02-19-08 19:25 for residency purposes, the CME are not very important, believe, I have a lot of credits and they didn't even ask me or really cared. For further licensure stuff, CME is very helpful
