Thanks Sackadoc!!! ;)... There is a MatchAResident service coming soon for persoanl statements. We never heard of IMGPrep. You will be contacted at your doctok.com registered email when the new service is launched. The new service will be featured by MD editors which is what you need when it comes to residency personal statements.

MatchAResident.com is very well known for quality service and any services associated with it will be rebutable.

That would be a great service. My PS was the weakest part of my application because I did not want to pay a pro. So, be prepared to submit good PSs

till the time match a resident starts the service u can prepare a good format of what u want in ur PS, and that will be great, always make sure ur beginning of PS is different and catchy
it should grab interest
no one can do that other than u
u still have time to think for it
make it short and then refine it from some person good at language
ideas r ur creation, u can do it best, try it and see
all the best

Many IMGs are nervous about writing their PS. For applicants who are still mastering English, the thought of writing a page-long essay can seem daunting. Worse still, ERAS directives are vague, and many applicants are not sure what they should write about, and how they should present it. Here are some tips to get your statement noticed.

First of all, your spelling and grammar must be impeccable. You’re applying for a respected and prestigious position: show the program director that you are a professional. If you aren’t confident in your English skills, ask a friend or mentor to look over your PS. And please, whatever you do, don’t rely on Microsoft Word’s spelling and grammar check: they can be a great tool, but only if you’re able to use your own judgment to decide when its advice is correct.

Your PS’s content is equally important. Often, our clients will send us the statements they used previously (unsuccessfully), and these are …fine. They are more or less grammatically correct, and they don’t break any rules, but that’s about it. Frankly, they’re boring. You need to remember that program directors see a LOT of statements. Do you really want them to skim (or skip) yours? Think good and hard about what information you’ll include in your statement: make sure it is interesting, compelling, and impressive. Is your statement ho-hum? Is it cliched? Choose anecdotes and examples that will bring your statement to life –that will bring YOU to life! Ask a friend to read your statement and give you his honest opinion: was he interested in it? Was it a fun read?

Finally, many applicants say that they’d like to use an online service to edit their statement …but that they’re nervous about being disqualified from the Match. Plagiarism is a very serious concern. Using someone else’s essay is dishonest and unethical and could indeed have very negative consequences. At IMGPrep, we help our clients find their own voice.
