33 yo sexualy active female comes with complains of vaginal lesions. on exam woman has exophytic, pedunculated, soft, moist discrete lesions on external genitalia. The lesions are painless and not ulcerated. What is your diagnosis?

a. condyloma acumintus
b. condyloma latum
c. Vaginal squamous cell ca
d. chancroid
e. herpes genitalis

A------Condyloma Acumanata

Pedenculated and exophytic are 2 discriptions ahich go in favour of the above. Usually caused by HPV serovars 16, 18, 31, 33 are most commonly believed to be the cause. Diagnosis of CAccuminata is by 1) SOUTHERN BLOT for genotype
2) ELISA for detection of antibodies against HPV 16 capsid.

Rx is by CRYOSURGERY.

Treatment is podophylline/podophylotoxine, if not cryosurgery
