is not correct since Fibrocystic changes are the most common benign condition of the breast. Cysts may range in size from 1 mm to more than 1 cm in size. Fibroadenomas are usually rubbery, smooth, well-circumscribed, nontender, and freely mobile. Mammogramsare not necessary for women under 30, as they are less sensitive in younger women with denser breast tissue. Mastitis generally occurs with
nursing, and is characterized by inflammation, edema, and erythema in areas of the breast.
