TheOne - 01-06-08 19:57 Keep on trying.. I really don't know which programs you should apply for. Try some websites like Match a Resident "http://www.matcharesident.com" or Electronic Residency "http://www.electronicresidency.com/".
US clinical experience works, showing you're active and working harder to get into a residency works, having strong US LORs works and finally, and most importantly Believe in yourself, the harder you do, the more closer you are. Good luck.

mindswapper - 01-07-08 22:47 Victor,
Think on where and what u went wrong.
It depends on which specialty you wanna go to.
Competitive fields may be difficult for you to get into.
Do some USCE and improve ur CV.
Do US research too!
Try to pull strings thru any form of contacts that u may have!

1. Look confident
2. Counsel when appropriate
3. Show empathy and not sympathy
4. One shud be a good actor
5. SMILE
6. Act professional
7. Closure is imp
For God's sake, practise with a study partner in timed mode - very imp.
Do First Aid and USMLEworld cases - they help a lot.
Never look like you are taking an exam - look very professional and that u are calm but concerned.
It is ALL abt acting skills (and I am a bad actor)
:-(
