Is US residency Equivalent To MD/MS?

I am doing my mbbs in india. if i am able to clear all 3 steps of usmle and get a license does it mean i get a postgraduate degree after completion of my tenure as a medical practitioner in the us?? if i return to my country after staying in us and completing my residency do i call myself an equivalent to indian md or ms??

. these are : USA, UK, Australia and 2 other countires, not sure about that..

After u pass the various USMLE steps u need to complete a residency training program before u can get the license to practice in the US.U cannot just work as a medical practitioner in the US without completing a residency training program.
Ye, Conym is right that recently there was a news about Indian Govt recognising the degrees from the five countries mentioned above.If this has really been done then one can even work as a specialist in Govt. Health sector in India.
