If pregnancy occurs, it is important to remove the IUD immediately (that day)If the IUD is left in place, the miscarriage rate increases to about 50%, and many of those are septic mid-trimester losses which are particularly unpleasant and which are associated with subsequent infertility in some cases.

If pregnancy occurs, it is important to remove the IUD immediately because with tha intrauterine device in place there is chance of miscarriage later
