I am working as a research assistant in an university program. I have come to know about this visa recently. I have few queries regarding it.

1. Is it exempted from 2yr home residence requirement and j-1 waiver?
2. How to apply for it and what are the requirements?
3. Do I have to apply for NOC from the home country?
4. I have tried to find some authentic link regarding the completer information about this category of J-1 visa but couldn,t find it. Can some buddy share such link here?

Thank you.

Ye,there is not much info present about this visa on the web.

You need the DS-2019 form from the ECFMG in order to apply for the visa at the Visa Consulate. In order to get the DS, you need an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from your Government.
I do not think it carries a two year home residency requirement.

Good Luck!
