My dear friends:
This is the time of the year, as a lot of you must know, that anxiety begins, appetites disappear, sleep deprived we become, and the nail-biting and increased peristaltic movements commence.
Welcome to the week before the NRMP madness, aka The Match. Some of you have already secured spots by the means of a pre-match, some of you have ranked 10-20 programs, and some of you have only ranked 1-3 programs; in my case, I ranked 5, but to all of you, I wish you the best outcome in this stage..and hopefully we do not go to the scramble (did it twice and it is not funny at all)
Hopefully a lot of Happy threads will be started on monday afternoon, and to those who ae going directly to the scramble, the best of luck, you really deserve it.

Re: Match 2008 reality13 - 03-10-08 16:22 This is my first Match ,,,,,,,,,,,, as you wrote prefectly i am going through all stages of Anxity and grive,,,,,,,,,,, i hope to not scramble as i can only imagine it's not FUN,,,,,,,,,,,, So may GOD spare all of us and we have a goo day on Monday-17-2008,,,,,,,,,,,

Hope you and the rest (and of course me) don't have to scramble....Good luck to all!

Re: Match 2008 taghrid - 03-12-08 01:09 Me too this is the third time, I did my best this year, I will quit if i did not match, there are so many things in our life to enjoy with rather than living in stress in years. I pray to Allah to bless all of us and guid us to the best.

this is my 3rd too,i wish this timre i might be spared to go through all that pain and agony i suffered througout scramble durnig past years,and even months thereafter in a hope of any good news.
anyways,i have two Qs ,
1)is electronicresidency.com service is worthing?io mean they r so expensive and calling part is responsibility of applicant(which in my opinion is most painful part of scramble).So r they charging u 599$ just for e-mailing and faxing ur materials
2)secondly, had anyone experienced with them before,what is the success rate,if u use this service for postmatch?
pls write.

I don't blame Electronicresidency.com for my lack of success because mainly I applied to surgery which is very competitive, and me like a candidate I am not much as a competitive candidate in surgery...I guess they send my Application everywhere there was an unfilled position, and they did it right, it was my application that probably was not very strong

The calling part is an addional chance for you to reach the programs. ELectronic Residency DOES NOT need you to call for them to send your application. The start the submission process at 12:00pm et on scrambl eday REGARDLESS if you call or not.
4 ways to reach the program
1. Fax
2. Email
3. ERAS
5. Call
NON of the above 4 methods in synch and all of them are done sepratly. For exmaple, you can not say I will fax and email bu tnot send ERAS or say I will send ERAS and forget about email and fax. All the above methods give you equal chance but with highest chance through fax and email because you can REACH all with faxa nd email. Clling is hard to do but if you reach a program on scramble day it may yield a residency position before the fax or email even has reached.
