b. homan sign negative......in deep venous thrombosis, usually the homan's sign is positive with pain in the calf

babbu5508 - 03-31-11 21:44 False positive readings of d-dimers can be due to various causes: liver disease, high rheumatoid factor, inflammation, malignancy, trauma, pregnancy, recent surgery as well as advanced age
