i have a query regarding the medical school credentials veification. ecfmg has sent my documents to my college on 9th april 07 for verification. the verification is still pending . when i contacted my college they have sent me a copy of verification. it was sent to ecfmg from my college on 2 nd feb'08. so far my account in ecfmg shows that the verification is still pending. what is the procedure to inform the ecfmg that the college has sent them the verified documents? do i need to talk to ecfmg on phone or contact them thro email or shall i sent the copy of verification to ecfmg directly? my cs result is due on 26th march. so if i have to apply for step 3, i need to get the ecfmg certificate.
what is the next appropriate step from my side?

Re: medical school credentials TheOne - 03-09-08 12:54 It's not how much it takes for mails from india to reach the US, it's how much time does the ECFMG needs to process your verified credentials which is anything between 2-6 weeks. Also, put in your mind that the ECFMG will not accept any documents from the candidates themselves, a direct contact with your med school is the only way to verify your creds.
What you need to do now is to call the ECFMG and make suer that they received your verified credentials.
