my experience

i took my cs in november and fortunately received the pass result in december. what i suggest is read any one material and practice more. first aid or online usmle world is good enough. the type of case scenarios is same as given in these books. first aid suggest you to examine the concern system in detail and run through the remaining system but i wonder anybody has so much time and i was able to do only the concerned system in detail and i passed with that performance. brief outline of how i went through my exam is
once the bell rings, read the instructions clearly and make a mental list of relevant history and examination which needs to be performed
knock the door and enter
introduce yourself
be seated in the chair
start taking history
take a pause
wash your hands
do the RELEVANT system examination only
closing sentence
if any specific queries , will be happy to answer

Congratulation!

How much time did you need for preparation CS?

You took the exam in November. When were you registered on exam?

Good Luck!

i registered in march, waiting time for philadelphia centre is atleast 4 months. it took 3 weeks for me to prepare ofcourse i tried to read more books later(after my exam) i realised first aid and/or usmle world is sufficient. keep at least one month for a comfortable preparation.

i am from india, as i had done my PLAB part2 which is similar to step2 CS , i was able to get away with not much practice, still i did practice all stations once with my friend and rest of the times alone in a room in front of mirror. even i was worried about PN as my PN note was shabby, hand writing was too small to accomodate more in that space but i made sure i wrote all info wether relevant or not as 10min is good enough to write PN in detail. what is given in FA is very less. if you scored less in PN make sure you work on your weakness and practice by writing more PN during your prep. good luck

i did cs last month
patient encounters were ok
but my PN note was very shabby due to bad writing and very limited space
I m very worried about results
