My Tips For Getting Interviews

Hey guys,
i just wanted to share a few thoughts about my experiences with this whole process of interviews and getting into residency...
If you have good scores and something to sell/flaunt yourself by do it....I am sure most of you guys out here have good scores and some achievement in med school or post graduation that you can use to highlight yourself...
There has been lots of debates about contacting PD's directly if its wise or not to do so but if you really want it go all out for the war...
As somebody told me the more aggressive you are the more your chance of getting an interview...
So dont hesitate to contact PD's directly, write a nice covering letter and attach a copy of your resume and pray hard...
I contacted 6 PD's directly and got 2 interviews out of that so pretty good result you would say...And the 2 PD's i contacted were actually glad that i contacted them directly...
My advise is prob bit late for this year but if unfortunately if you are unsucessful this year please try it next time.

Thanks

I did write a few e.mails to PDs directly, but was not fortunate enough to get any responses.
However, I do agree that this might work sometimes.
Good Luck!
