He states he’s had a sudden loss in weight and easily loses his breath when walking up a flight of stairs. In the emergency room, he begins to cough up blood. On examination, he has tenderness over his back and palpable lymph nodes. A biopsy of his lungs would show a combination of which two types of necrosis?
* A. Coagulative and liquefactive
* B. Liquefactive and fibrinoid
* C. Fat and fibrinoid
* D. Liquefactive and gangrenous
* E. Coagulative and gangrenous

babbu5508 - 03-18-11 18:18 My answer is: d.
the patient is probably having an infection with abscess formation..Liquefactive and gangrenous necrosis might fit better..
