U got to use the best two sources for yur Step-2CS prep and they r the First Aid for Sep-CS ad USMLEWorld Course for Step-2CS.
Always simple words and use short sentences.Never use any medical jargon.Be slow and loud while speaking and always listen carefully to what an SP is saying.Repeat what the SP has just said and write on the scrap paper only when u r repeating what the SP has just said.
Do a timed pactice of Patient Note writing as well.
Practice all this with a live practice partner.

i second adonis and galaxy... it is very important to hide your anxiety and be confident and not overconfident... be considerate to the patients symptoms...
whenever there is a case of discomfort, just see the magical effect of the empathy you show.. the pain disappears at the blink of your eye... its more about your etiquettes.. bests..

hi doctok,
i m done with my exam and have mixed feeling about it.
Things I covered : introduction handshake,draping,pamhugsfoss,hand wash before PE,permission before PE, and summarize history, and simple closure covering initial diagnostic and work plan for all cases.
my mistakes: i came out very fast before the end of encounter for most of cases, and made lots of mistakes in patient notes like it was not clean and in proper order,..
last about my SEP, i m really nervous.they replied to all my questions instantly except in few occasions where they asked me to repeat.do they reveal it during the encounter If they are having any difficulty in understanding my English.
i hope i should get through it easily.

If they asked u to repeat then that is not good.That means they had difficulty in understanding wat u were saying.May be u were speaking fast or were using medical terms.
Also, as u said that u finished the encounters fast then that is also not very nice.U shud have been slow while speaking and u shud have patiently listened to them.
But, ultimately yur results will only reveal how well did u do on the day of the test.

they never made me to repeat my questions but i did finish all my cases in 2-3 minutes in advance. lets wait and hope for good.
