hello doctok,
im an img from india.i graduated in aug 2009. then i startd preparing for usmle.my score in step1 238/99 and 243/99in ck.preparing for cs but all this time i was not employed or practising. i m looking for this match. im running out of time for any USCE. I can produce some clinical observership letter from some doctors here. will doing CME for credits help me now?
can i get neuro on my scores?

If u show that u were actively involed in some clinical observership then that wud be fine.Earning CME credits will not prove that u were involved in any active clinical experience.So, it is better to get the Observership letter.
Ye, yur scores r very good and u can match into Neuro if u pass Step-2CS on first attempt.

Yes, u can produce the observership experience letter.That will do.

can you please explain difference between PGY-1 or PGY-2 ? do i have to apply twice for neurology residency since first year is a pre leminary?

PGY-1 and PGY-2 r postgraduate years first and second resp.
Yes, first year is a preliminary year in IM and after it there r three years in Neuro.U will have to apply to both the preliminary IM and Neuro programs in the same application cycle.Also, u can apply to integrated Neurology programs which will provide u with a designated preliminary position at the same program.
