A healthy, 29-year-old African-American woman comes to the physician for a routine health maintenance examination. She has a history of migraine headaches. She has been smoking one pack of cigarettes daily for the last three years. She drinks alcohol only on weekends. Her father died of colon cancer at the age of 50, and her mother is diabetic. She is currently taking no medications. Her vital signs are within normal limits. Examination shows no abnormalities. Her annual pap smear shows high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (LSIL). Satisfactory colposcopy examination confirms CIN II. Which of the following is the most appropriate next step in the management of this patient?

conym5 - 04-09-10 15:36 LEEP is preferred because of its low cost, accuracy, and easiness to perform. It is a very successful procedure and can be performed in an office setting.
